The winners are...

Yep, I spelled "Christmas" wrong. Good job Allison Hicken, you were the first person to leave a comment pointing out the mistake. You should have gotten an email with your coupon code to pick up your freebie!
And now the number of other people that caught the mistake was zero! Either they were just as oblivious to it as I was or they were being really nice! Chicapooh was the first person to guess zero, but I need your email address. Please email me at holleywilliamson@gmail.com so I can send you your coupon code!
Thanks for all the nice comments!

What's Cookin?

My grandma had the idea to make a family cookbook for Christmas and asked me to make a cover for the book. Here's what I came up with. My aunt printed out two to see if she should do glossy or lustre and decided on lustre. Then she got the 15 or so covers printed. AFTER all that she showed them to my grandma and my grandma immediately saw the mistake I had made. I was soooo embarrassed. But it was too late to fix it!
So I've decided to give this kit "What's Cookin?" away as a freebie to 2 people: The first person to point out my mistake on the cover above. And the first person to guess how many other people caught/said anything about the mistake. Just leave a comment with your guess!
You can find this kit at Scrappin Digi Kreations or you can buy it here.

"Our Savior" My EF7

Here is the seventh and final part of mega kit, "My Eternal Family." I made these kits for the songs the LDS Primary children will be learning in 2009. But they can be used for various other personal use things.
"Our Savior" My EF7 ~
For the months of April and July the song choice is very broad. The topic is our Savior. I created these pages specifically for the songs "When He Comes Again" and "I Feel My Savior's Love." But they should be broad enough to apply to just about any song about the Savior. They are also interchangeable (the background colors are all the same.) Also, I didn't make Title pages for these songs since they were so long. I just put the title on the same page as the first verse. But if the songs your primary is singing are shorter, by all means use one of the pages for a title page.

Lyrics to all Primary songs can be found here:

There is also an extra page that matches the cover and back cover that could be used for a Contents or Index page.

"Seek the Lord Early" My EF6
These 4x6 quickpages are for the song, "Seek the Lord Early" (Children's Songbook, p. 108). Lyrics can be found here:
There are also 2 quickpages that you could use for a cover and a back cover. On my cover I put "My Eternal Family" big and then smaller: "Primary Songbook 2009". Then on the backcover I put "Made by Holley Williamson"

"My Eternal Family" My EF5

Here's part 5 of My Eternal Family Megakit. Just so you know, I'm trying to get this megakit done by Christmas. There are 2 or 3 more parts left. I might do two months together since they are the same theme (pick a song about the Saviour-very broad huh?). I do have a question for you all out there. Are there any Primary choristers that have picked songs for April and July for 2009? Or have you guys asked your choristers? I'd like to make the pages as versatile as possible. The chorister in my ward should be getting back to me this week about her choices. Just leave a comment if you know, thanks!

"Family of God" My Eternal Family Part 4

Here is the next kit in "My Eternal Family" Megakit (aka MyEF). These kits are created specifically for the songs the LDS Primary kids will be learning in 2009, but could be used for various other things.
"Family of God" My EF4 -
And here are the freebie quickpages. They are made for the song, "The Family Is of God" (Friend, Oct 2008) but the chorister can choose between that song and "I Lived in Heaven" (CS, p. 4). So you can use the pages for that song also. I put directions as to which pages could be used for which verse in the download. I also included the links for the lyrics of the songs but here they are also:
"The Family is of God":
"I Lived in Heaven":
These are 4x6 quickpages. The page with the frame is supposed to be for a picture of your child or children and it is in .png format. All the others are .jpg's.

Toothy Smiles

Well I had two kids dealing with new teeth at the same time. Child #1 was losing her first tooth and Child #3 was getting his first tooth. So I thought I'd make a kit all about teeth! "Toothy Smiles" Part 1 is for those 'Baby's First Tooth' pages and Part 2 is for those kids who are losing their first tooth and getting their first visit from the tooth fairy. I'll be giving these away as freebies for a couple of days, so catch them while you can!
AND I have a treat for you. A little while ago Bethany of Elegant Word Art contacted me about doing a collaboration. I've admired her work for awhile so how exciting for me! So she made some beautiful wordart for "Toothy Smiles." You can pick up this cute one up at her website
And here's the awesome wordart that she made for me to give away. She's amazing huh?

I Voted Freebie

Well I'm all hiped about Proposition 8 (I'm in California) and getting out the vote next Tuesday. My husband, 3 kids, and I put out doorhangers all morning and wiped ourselves out. Now we're making phone calls galore. I did a Yes on Prop 8 button down below. And here is another little Freebie:

Remember to Vote!

Here are some buttons I made, great for the side of your blog! Obviously, not everyone agrees with this, but that is why it is so great to live in the United States where we can freely express ourselves.

My Eternal Family Songbook Example

Well I had a question about what the LDS Primary Songbook for 2009 should look like when completed. I don't want to mess with copyright issues, so for each song I've been posting the link to copy and paste the lyrics. I also put the link in the download. For each song I'm making a title page, and then one page per verse and per chorus. The files are 4"x6" so you just add the lyrics right on top of the page, print out the pages like a regular photograph and then compile them into a bragbook. They sell little plastic ones at Target for $2. Or you could spend a little more to get one with a nicer cover. Hopefully that answers your questions, let me know if you have any others!
Happy Halloween!

"Families Forever" My Eternal Family 3

This kit includes 3 temples based off of the Salt Lake Temple, San Diego Temple, and Newport Beach Temple. I may create more temples eventually, they are kind of fun! It also includes two temple charms, a charm link, the family on the earth, 4 frames, and 8 papers.
"Families Forever" My EF 3
-
These quickpages are for the song, "Families Can Be Together Forever." I know I've been doing the songs out of order, but the first song the Primary is supposed to learn next year 2009 (or one of two options) just came out in the Friend this month (October), so now I'll probably follow the order that they are learning them in.
-
The lyrics for the song can be found here:

I included the link and other info in the download. If you like what I do, comments are always appreciated! Thanks!

LDS Blog Button Freebie

I've been having fun figuring out how to make an animated button. I've been wanting one for my family blog, and I made this temple today, and so I made a button too! It's the San Diego Temple (where my husband and I were married). I'm making a couple other temples for the next Primary songbook kit. The button is 220 pixels wide and fits perfectly on the side of my blog, so hopefully it works for others too. And by the way, it does have a white border around it, although you can't see it on this blog.

Here is the html code. It has the link to http://www.lds.org/ already in the code. So just copy and paste!

"I Want Candy" Halloween Kit

I'm taking a little break from "My Eternal Family" songbook, but don't worry I'll get the next pages out soon. I am so excited about this Halloween kit and I've been trying to get it done asap so if you want to use the desktop freebie this month you (and I) can use it for as much of the month that is left! My daughter ends up wearing pink almost every year for Halloween and how often do you see pink with Halloween colors? So here is my solution!
~
I am showing the previews of the elements and papers separately so you can see both to their full advantage, but the kit comes all together. The word art says, "I Want Candy" and "So Sweet, you make my mouth water."

"I Want Candy" Halloween Kit
~
The desktop comes in two different sizes: 1680x1050 and 1024x768. That way if you have something in between, you can just size the biggest one down a little. They are png format. Enjoy!

"Baptism" My Eternal Family 2

My Eternal Family Megakit is made specifically for a song lyric book for the songs the Primary children will be learning in 2009.
-
Here is the baptism kit. It has 4 papers that are 12x12 and 300 ppi. There are 13 elements: baptism dress, baptism jumpsuit, dove button, fancy number 8, plain number 8, flower, charm bracelet, dress charm, jumpsuit charm, dove charm, number 8 charm, flower charm, and charm link.
"Baptism" My EF2
-
These 4x6 quickpages are for the song: "I Want to Be Baptized" (Friend, July 2005) or "Baptism" (CS, p. 100–101). The music leaders get a choice, so you'll have to ask them what they plan on teaching. (Preferrably after your Primary program is already over for this year.)

On the title page I put the title, page number or where the song can be found, and the month the Primary kids are learning the song (May). There is one page for each verse. I made these pages specifically for the song "I Want to be Baptized" but they could also be used for "Baptism." For "Baptism" song you could use page number 3 (with the dove) for verse 1; page number 2 (with the eight) for verse 2; and either the title page or page 1 for verse 3.

I included the links in the download and a few other details.

My EF1 Quickpages

Well I've been trying to figure out how to release these kits for "My Eternal Family" Megakit--if I should release elements separate from papers, if I should wait until the end to post the 4x6 quickpages, etc, etc. So here is what I'm going to do! I'm going to release the Megakit in 8 parts (since there are 8 songs). I will combine the papers and elements for one song into one part. I changed a few elements that I wasn't very happy with and combined the last two kits I posted. I've decided to also release the quickpages for a particular song at the same time as the kit, and the quickpages will be a freebie. The quickpages will remain freebies until I finish the whole megakit, and then I will bundle them together to be sold. Stay tuned this week because I'll be posting the kit and quickpages for the baptism song. It's a fun one!

Here are the 4x6 quickpages for hymn #85: "How Firm a Foundation". It is the song the Primary children will be learning in February, 2009. The lyrics can be found here:
They are only required to learn versus 1 and 3. I included the lyric info in the download as a text document, as well as font size, style, etc. that I used.

"How Firm a Foundation" My Eternal Family 1

Here is the first kit for the My Eternal Family songbook. This kit is for the song, "How Firm a Foundation." There are 4 papers that are 12x12 and 300 ppi. There are 13 elements to be used for the hymn and also throughout the whole songbook (namely, the music brads).

"My Eternal Family" Songbook Megakit

I am so excited about my next project. I am making a mega-kit called "My Eternal Family." That is the theme for Primary next year, 2009. I love lyric song books. So I got this idea to make a song book for the songs the kids will be learning next year in Primary. If you want to look at the Outline for next year check it out here: http://downloads.sugardoodle.net/2009PrimaryOutline.pdf
Song books are so convenient to use during family home evening or even just before bedtime. I always forget which songs they are working on, and my kids love having pictures to look at anyway.
-
So I'll release parts of the kit according to song. This first part is for the song, "How Firm a Foundation" and then some items to be used throughout the whole book. When I'm done with all the parts of the mega-kit I will post the whole song book as 4x6 quickpages. I won't put the lyrics in so I don't have to mess with copyright issues. Also, next year there is a new format with being able to choose between two songs some months and for other months picking any song you want within a particular theme. The quickpages will be totally customizable. So the elements should be general enough to be able to use with several different songs. You can just ask your Primary Music Leader which songs they plan on learning next year and put those in.

Will You? Part 2

Here is the second and last part of the "Will You?" Kit. It's fun to see people engaged, and to remember those days of bliss. 7 years and 3 kids later, that seems like awhile ago, but it's always fun to look at pictures too :)
